01

Who starts?

To determine who starts, place all 11 GAME TILES and the BONUS TILE face down on the table and shuffle them thoroughly. Then, players take turns drawing tiles. The player who draws the bonus tile goes first.

02

SPIEL VORBEREITEN

Each player receives:

1 All 12 GAME TILES of one color, placed face up in front of them.

2 ONE CARD FROM THE DECK, placed face up in front of them.

3 AN ADDITIONAL CARD is placed face up on the table for everyone to see, with the bonus tile placed on top of it.

The deck of cards is placed to the side with the illustrations facing up.

  • Cards without illustrations represent achievements that have historically been achieved only by men. They point to a future where women can also reach these milestones. These cards belong in the last column and function as wildcards.

03

SWAPPING CARDS

In clockwise order, each player decides whether to KEEP their card or swap it with the card in the center. The first player to swap takes the bonus tile.

If no one swaps, the last player in line may take the bonus tile WITHOUT SWAPPING a card.

  • Choose the card you think you can place in the correct time period. Points are only awarded for tiles that are placed correctly.

  • The bonus tile allows you to place a tile in a second column, increasing your chances of correctly placing tiles.

04

PLACING TILES

Each player places a tile in the TIME PERIOD (in the column) they believe corresponds to the achievement on their card.

For the FIRST CARD, tiles can only be placed in ROW I. For the SECOND CARD, tiles can be placed in ROWS I AND II, and so on. These are the rows available for play.

  • If the column where you want to place a tile is full in all open rows, you may move to the next higher row.

  • A space is considered occupied if it contains a tile with a visible pattern. Tiles that are face down [see 05 Misplaced Tiles] are available for placement again.

05

RESOLVING CARDS

All players flip over their cards to reveal whether they guessed the correct time period.

CORRECTLY PLACED TILES remain on the board. If the correctly placed tile is the bonus tile, it is returned to the card in the center and replaced with one of your own tiles.

INCORRECTLY PLACED TILES are flipped face down so their pattern is no longer visible. These spaces become available for tiles to be placed in future rounds.

06

ADDITIONAL ROUNDS

The next round [REPEAT STEPS 04-06] begins with the player to the left of the one who last had the bonus tile

  • The game ends as soon as each row contains at least one correctly placed tile of any color.

If this cannot be achieved with the available tiles, the game continues until one player has no tiles left.

COUNTING POINTS
27+9+5=41

  • 1-6 POINTS PER CORRECT TILE

The further down the board a tile is placed, the more points it earns:
    Row I = 1 point
    Row II = 2 points
    ...

  • TILES WITH THE MOST COMMON PATTERN

The player with the most tiles featuring the same pattern may score those tiles again. If there is a tie in patterns, the one that earns the most points is counted.

  • COMPLETE ROW AND/OR COLUMN

If a player places at least one correct tile in every row or column, they earn 5 additional points for each completed achievement.
